Flare

Overview

Using a unique dual asymmetric LED and lens system, Flare delivers a broad, even light distribution to achieve a smooth wall wash effect that cannot be replicated by a single-point source fixture. Originally designed for use on superyachts, the fixture is fully submersible and robust with IP68/IK10 ratings. Flare is manufactured from marine-grade 316 stainless steel and is very compact with a trim of 75mm.

Ideal for urban streetscapes and landscaping applications, Flare’s wall wash effect is achieved using two asymmetric beams set on a LED board with a 5-degree internal tilt. Aside from wall washing, the fixture can be used to highlight other vertical fixtures. The separation between fixtures and their offset from the target surface can be configured to achieve a variety of illumination effects. The dual lens system generally means that fewer fixtures are required to achieve a comparable effect in comparison to single point source luminaires.

Created specifically for applications where a flush finish is required on sheet or panel materials, a threaded head and lock ring version is available for simple installation and is suitable for mounting to steel, aluminium, plastics and timbers. A sleeve adaptor is available for set out and installation.
