The Australian Lab for Immersive Technologies (ALIT), located within the University of Adelaide's Nexus 10 building, is one of Australia's most advanced facilities for virtual reality, artificial intelligence and simulation research. Designed to support teaching, research and industry collaboration, the facility combines immersive technologies, interactive displays and digital simulation environments within a purpose-built innovation hub. Central to the space is a custom illuminated ceiling feature developed by HI Lighting and Digilin Technologies, comprising two suspended grids of continuous RGBW light that respond dynamically to the virtual environment. The project showcases the integration of advanced lighting technology, bespoke Australian manufacturing and collaborative engineering to create an immersive learning environment where architecture, lighting and digital experiences converge.
